Nowadays, people get stressed easily. They usually experience stress because of work, family life, peer pressure, and everyday traffic. Of course, there are so many contributing factors that make people feel worn out, tired and sometimes hopeless. When life gets the most out of you, you sometimes get overwhelmed by it. You lose yourself in the process. As if you no longer have something to hold on to. You tend not to take care of yourself anymore because you’re so used to taking care of others. And you can’t figure out how to be you and how to live again.
Love yourself first. For you to be able to feel young again, you need to find what makes you happy. Maybe it’s something on your bucket list that you’ve been meaning to do all these years but you always put on hold. Pursue it. If you are so unhappy with your job, quit and start looking for a work worth all the trouble. You need to love yourself first because you just have to.
Spend time with yourself. Start exercising, set an appointment with your favorite masseur, have your nails done, go to the beach and read a book. You have a variety of things you can enjoy. Know what you want and spend some time alone. Nothing beats a quiet time once in a while, away from the hassles of everyday life and away from toxic people. You will definitely enjoy it.
Be with people who matters to you. Constantly be with people who values you and understands you. You don’t need persons who continuously judge you in your inner circle. You should share your life with those who love you unconditionally. They are the ones who accept your flaws and guides you to become a better person without tearing you apart. Have fun with them. Dance in the rain, travel with them, don’t hesitate to cry on their shoulders when you just have to.
Know yourself. People will always have something to say about you regardless of what you say or do and honestly, it will affect you. Will you allow them to get in your head and get what they want? No. You are you. You don’t have to be sorry for speaking your mind because they won’t be sorry for whatever they will say about you too. For as long as you know that you are doing the right thing and you are not harming anyone just continue whatever you are doing. What should really matter is for you to know who you truly are, your strengths and weakness, what you value the most and what principles you live by. These are things you should consider in dealing with people and when there are important decisions to be made.
Reach out and Give back. When you are blessed you should learn to share what you have. This is something that others might find hard to do. But think about it, when you die, you won’t be able to take everything you have in your grave with you. Sharing your blessing gives you a sense of fulfillment, for it makes you feel that you are part of someone else’s happiness and success. It makes you feel needed and appreciated.
Look forward to better days ahead. “Some days are worse than the one you had today but some days get better”, have you heard that line before? Well, it is true. It’s a happy-sad cycle and it will be the same way throughout our life. No one is ever exempted from this process no matter how good you are. It doesn’t mean you won’t be wrong along the away because surely, you’ll fall on your knees sometimes and maybe would pursue rough roads in one way or the other. You just need to learn to pick yourself up, continue learning and do what’s right.
Appreciate and Be Thankful. When you look around you, do you see good things? If you say yes, then you are lucky. Be thankful. But if you see unpleasant things, problems at your door, still be grateful. Appreciate everything around you, no matter how bad your situation in life is. These experiences bring out the best in you. It teaches you to be stronger, that whatever life throws at you, you’ll be able to cope and deal with it.
